Dog walking at Parklea, Port Glasgow!

With only Mack from Langbank joining us (Ruby and myself) today I decided to try going somewhere closer to Langbank than Erskine beach and Boden Boo.  I’ve heard of the Parklea playing fields in Port Glasgow before as they are often used by Langbank dog owners and I’m aware that it is used often by professional dog walkers.  Today I met up with Hugo’s owner Fiona and she took me there to show me around!

The Parklea playing fields are several football fields situated very close to Finlaystone and on the coast line so the dogs can play on the grass and venture onto the beach if they wish.  There is a pathway that takes you most of the way round and in total the time taken to walk all around should take about 40 minutes.

Although it was sunny there were quite strong winds and they were freezing cold.  But at least the ice had gone and it’s always nice to have some blue skies.  Parklea is quite a nice place and safe for dogs as the area seemed well fenced.  We only met a few dogs but they seemed friendly enough but it was quieter than I thought it would be.  Still our dogs had a nice time and had each other to play with.

BDWS is owned and run by me, Jamie Shanks. I’ve been a professional dog walker since 2010. When I’m not walking dogs, I’m usually at home entertaining my three dogs and attending to five hens and my vegetable garden.
