Jet and the team visit Finlaystone

Jet’s first visit to Finlaystone Country Estate

It was a beautiful day today and I was lucky enough to be walking some brill dogs in a brill location for my 2pm walk.  Finlaystone is great for dogs.  There’s plenty to smell and do, lovely long trails through the woods with large open areas where they can runaround.  It’s also safe and secure so dogs can be let off lead!  Jet is a 7 year old and super friendly black Labrador from Erskine.  Today she joined up for the first time with the 2pm dogs for a group walk. Along with Jet was Ruffles, Ruby, Mack and Finlaystone residents Wilfred and Chilli.

Let’s take a look at some pics…

BDWS is owned and run by me, Jamie Shanks. I’ve been a professional dog walker since 2010. When I’m not walking dogs, I’m usually at home entertaining my three dogs and attending to five hens and my vegetable garden.

  1. Hi Mel!

I recently got some dog tags for the dogs with biz name and my phone number on it. Can be quite handy as if a dog was to go missing then I can be contacted as owner is usually unavailable hence why they got me walking their dog.

Good luck! Dog walking is ideal and popular among those who have or had to endure crappy jobs.

  2. Hello Jamie, I’ve been day dreaming about starting my own dog walking business since getting my own beloved Patterdale Terrier ‘Bobby Dazzler’ two & half years ago. Anyway, my soul destroying office job has ended and so I’ve decieded its now or never to start ‘Bobby Dazzlers dog walking service’ ! I have found your website to be very inspiring and confidence building! I thank you sir, for such valuable advice.

I have a wee question for you, do you use collar tags and if so what info is given?

    Bye for now

P,S I’m planning on making a pit stop at my local Brighton butchers today. Going to buy liver for treats and a pigs head for supper!
