Investing in a dog walker is a decision my Husband and I agonised over for quite a while. You are not only handing over your little (or big!) best friend to a stranger but also handing over a key to your home, so not an easy decision to make!!When we finally made the decision that it was in the best interests of our “spirited” Cocker Spaniel we were delighted to find the Bishopton Dog Walking Services website. All key information was easily accessible on their site and they visited our home prior to taking our dog, Jersey out. Within ten minutes of meeting Jamie of BDWS my Husband and Jersey were both won over !BDWS is very personal, professional but most importantly passionate about the well being of animals in general and those in their care. One glance at the online Gallery and Blog of Jersey and we knew we had definitely done the right thing as she was having a ball on the beach running around with other dogs in their care. I could not be more grateful for how he has helped me. Jamie came to my rescue when he agreed to walk my dog Jay at very short notice, and if he hadn’t I might have had to give him up. Jamie also gave me advice on how to try to stop Jay from chewing my walls. Although Jamie no longer walks Jay he has helped me twice this year when my dog walker couldn’t take Jay, by agreeing to walk him so I didn’t have to put him in kennels. The first time my dog Tyla went with Bishopton Dog Walking Service, she crouched miserably in the car convinced she was being sent away from me. She came back delighted to be home but very happy to have been out with Jamie. Now she rushes up to greet him if we meet outside. When going with Jamie she leaps into his car, tail wagging and more than happy to go for the fun walk she knows is coming. I have every confidence in the kindness and care given to her. When she boarded with Jamie he texted to let me know how well she had settled. His kindness extends to reassuring a very anxious owner. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. Dogs know when someone likes them and Jamie certainly knows the dogs he cares for. He has also taken her walking at very short notice when I was unwell. What a relief to KNOW she is well cared for.

We decided to use the services of a cat sitter, as our two cats, Misty and Lily are very nervous and the journey to the cattery was always very distressing for them (and us). Jamie is excellent, extremely reliable, dependable and trustworthy. He visits them twice a day and his costs are still less than the cattery, where we would have to pay separately for both cats. This means that we can enjoy our holiday knowing that our girls are in safe hands and they are happier and less likely to be in a huff with us on our return.
