About Ruby
Ruby passed away on December the 14th 2020 after a short illness – she was a one in a million dog, perfect. Ruby is why I became a dog walker. Ruby came with me everywhere, on most walks and sat clipped into the front passenger seat next to me. She was a funny wee character, friendly, tolerant, yet can be fussy who’d she play with and quite strict with the other dogs if need be, she kept them in line and they all respected her.
Ruby had a lovely nature, very loyal, easy-going, low maintenance. She just wanted to go wherever I was and I loved her company. Ruby would often smile her teeth at people she knows, it’s a greeting where she’d offer appeasement and ask for praise!
Ruby loved to swim, play with toys and get chased – but no dogs could ever catch her when she was younger – she was so fast!
Being a collie cross she had real endurance and couldn’t be tired out, but when it was warm, she would get hot fast with the thick double coat she wears so in the summer she liked to get walked wherever there was water such as the beach in Erskine, Langbank etc.
