10 years ago today I visited the jobcentre for the last time and signed off and on that day Bishopton dog walking services was born. I had no money, no car, no experience, no plan, and no real idea.
The first thing I did was learn how to build a website and then I made, printed and posted flyers through every door in the village. You may have got one if you lived in Bishopton at the time. You can see that flyer (with old rubbish logo) here. Very slowly I began getting work – Facebook wasn’t a big deal back then. I eventually bought a cheap compact camera and started blogging the dog walks.
The first two years were slow and I didn’t think it was going to work out but by year three and several second hand cars later, things began to take off.
…
A sincere and huge thank you to everyone that has supported me over the years and gave me the chance to walk their dog, without your support there would simply be no BDWS.
Sadly, this week was also the last walk for Mylo who’s just a bit too old now for the big walks, but he loved his big walk at Finlaystone and the chance to take a swim underneath the waterfall.
Also a happy birthday to Sia, Elsa, Ella & Roxy who all celebrated their birthdays last week too.

These were the leaflets I first designed when I just started
Below are photos taken from this weeks walks, with many taken at Finlaystone Country Estate which is beautiful right now. Images are quite large so it may take a little longer to load.
