Ingredients

1 mug Chickpea flour
1 Egg
Milk Start with a splash of milk and add more gradually until you get the right consistency.
Your filling of choice You can flavour with anything your dog likes e.g., diced cooked liver, cheese, carrot, apple, pre-fried mince etc. Make sure your filling is cooked and cooled before adding it to the batter.

Instructions

Add 1 mug (approx. 150g) of chickpea flour to your mixing bowl. Any mug will do, but keep it consistent
Crack in the egg and add a splash of milk. Mix well.
Mix to a batter: Gradually add more milk, a little at a time, until you have a smooth batter with a consistency similar to fish coating batter.
Add your flavouring: Stir in your chosen filling (like fried, cooled mince, or grated cheese).
Cook the pancakes: Heat a pan over a medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour in enough batter to make a small pancake. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until bubbles appear and the edges look set. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden.
Cool and slice: Remove the pancake from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack. Once cool, slice into treat-sized pieces.

Notes

How to store

As a general guide, if meat protein is present in the recipe, then it will last around 3 to 5 days stored in a cool place. If it has second-class protein in it, e.g., cheese, lentils, eggs, etc, then they will store for about 10 days in a cool place. If there is no meat or second-class proteins present, then it will last around 3 weeks before they go soft like human biscuits.

Just tried your liver and hearts recipe on our two dogs , Danny our GSD and Freisa our Basset Hound . They just loved it ! Going to try a few more as of now . Danny has had tummy issues recently and anal gland problems with bouts of diarrhea and jelly-like poos so fingers crossed . Thank you .
