A Friday Finish at Parklea

🌈A few photos before the rain came

The last group walk of the week took us to Parklea in Port Glasgow on a Friday afternoon. It was hot when we arrived, and I had a jacket and sweater on underneath.

We had a great crew for this one: Minnie, who's always up for a game; Bella, back after a two-week break; and Gilbert the schnauzer, who I've been walking all week. This was Gilbert's final walk of the week, and it was a special one—I let him off lead for the first time. He did brilliantly, sticking close and enjoying the freedom.

Minnie and Bella are both absolutely ball-mad, love to run, can both run super fast and I spent a good while chucking the ball for them. Gilbert, at 11 years old, had other ideas. He was perfectly happy to take his time, sniffing every scent that crossed his path, which is exactly how he likes it.

But, as is often the way with Scottish weather, the blue skies didn't last. Less than halfway into the walk, the clouds rolled in and the rain came down. I had to quickly stash my camera in my lead bag to keep it dry, so I didn't manage to get many photos.

A short but eventful walk to end the week!

Here are the few photos I managed to grab...
