Camera Testing At Finlaystone

Lunch Walk in the Woods

On my first two walks (here and here) I was testing out a lens I haven't really used, but on this walk, which was going to be in a dark woodland, I thought I'd take the lens I normally use at the beach. It's a great lens, and is very fast focusing and very light, but today I found out that it's only really good in outdoor, bright conditions. In a dark woodland it really struggles to focus. I did get some photos, but I know not to use it again unless I'm out in open, bright conditions.

On my lunch walk at Finlaystone I had the usual suspects: Winnie, Perfect, Hamish, Hudson and my own dog Flo. Missing was Wilfred, who didn't want a walk. His feet can be quite bad and I noticed yesterday how slow he was, so he got a day off and hopefully he'll be good for tomorrow.

Some pics...
