Fun on the fields, keeping cool on the beach
It was one of those days where the weather couldn't quite make up its mind—overcast with a threat of rain when we set off, but not long after arriving at Parklea Playing Fields in Port Glasgow, the sun had broken through and it was suddenly very warm.
I hadn't seen Hamish for weeks—the schools have been off for summer—so it was great to have him back for a Saturday lunchtime walk, along with my own three. Parklea's right at the coast, so after lots of ball throwing and trying to run Hamish's socks off, we headed straight down to the beach, and thankfully the tide was right in.
After the beach, we headed back up to the main fields for a bit more ball throwing—this time to help dry them off a bit before the journey home.
Parklea was lovely and quiet, just the way I like it.
