Hudson’s First Group Walk

Meeting Minnie and Perfect at Finlaystone

Hudson is 12 weeks old and now allowed out to meet other dogs. He's a Red Fox Labrador, and I've been doing puppy visits for him here and there, but today was a big one—his first group walk.

I took him to Finlaystone Country Estate with Minnie and Perfect the dachshund. I knew they'd make great playmates as they're young, similar in size, and they were amazing with him.

We started at Finlaystone's small dog park so Minnie and Perfect could introduce themselves to Hudson somewhere safe and secure. At first, Hudson was a little shy—but it lasted mere minutes. He soon joined in the fun, and Minnie and Perfect were brilliant at making him feel included in the wee gang.

It was annoyingly wet, and the dark woods really pushed my camera to its limits, but thankfully the rain stayed fairly light and the trees gave us some shelter.

After the doggy playpark, I took the dogs to the Fairy Village and beyond so they could sniff, play and explore. Hudson did great being off lead and slept like a baby all the way home in the car.

Some pics of the walk!
