Bailey and Oakley join BDWS

Two young black Labradors from Dargavel

Bailey (orange collar) and Oakley (red collar) are just 7 months old and from Dargavel. I've got an afternoon walk made just for them at 2:30pm, with the focus on getting them socialised and tired out—they're real working Labradors, after all!

They're super friendly, love a ball and treats, and are desperate to make friends and have a good play.

So after a few days walking them on their own, I introduced them to my own dogs—Daisy, Flo and Brodie—and also took them on a walk with Bella, another black Labrador from Dargavel. Everyone gets along great, which is pretty much what you'd expect with young pups—they're almost always dog-friendly.

So far, they've been walked at Knockmountain and Erskine Beach.

My step count

Since starting the new 2:30pm walk, my step count is the highest it's ever been, averaging 11 miles a day Monday to Friday, with some days close to 12 miles walked.

Averaging 11 miles or more a day, Monday to Friday. That's around 1,000 calories burned per walking day. No wonder I'm hungry!
