Dog walking up Ben A’an
Spending all week outdoors with Ruby, my dog is why I started my own dog walking business. I love it and occasionally we like to go somewhere new and spend the day as tourists in our own country. Where we go must be interesting, scenic and a great place for dogs. So I’d been considering this weekend to visit either The Trossachs, Rouken Glen or Balloch country park. It had been recommended to me by fellow dog walker Carol from Wagtime Pet Care to visit Brig o’Turk at the Trossachs and so that’s where we went with the plan of walking Ben A’an, a small mountain 454m high!
Along for the fun at Ben A’an on this glorious day was Ruffles and my own dog Ruby! Ruffles has just had a hair cut which was good as it was very warm even at the top of Ben A’an! So this morning we picked Ruffles up at 10am and set out.  Ruby was wearing her Ruffwear Singletrak Backpack with water for her and Ruffles and I carried a nice flask of coffee for myself. Usually, my dog carries a first aid kit when dog walking… Below is our mini adventure!
We’re at the foot of Ben A’an and Ruby is ready to go. She’s carrying water and bowls in her backpack!
We’ve spent half the walk walking in woods but suddenly the woods clear and the peak of Ben A’an is visible! That’s where we’re headed!
Soup of the day and a pint! I think I’ve earned this! After, we’ll continue our walk around Loch Achray!

We are coming to the area in August with our 3 Labradors. Are there any other dog friendly walks you can recommend?
Where abouts exactly are you going?
Glad to inspire a great day out. Pictures are fab and so glad you all had a great day:-) We walked 12km in the Pentlands National Park yesterday. Recommended for the views of Edinburgh. Snuggy and I are tired but happy. I am very sunburnt! Off to East Neuk today…recommended for the beaches:-)
