Bracken visits the beach

Too hot for anywhere else

I walk Bracken 9 times a week, and normally we head for a nice big long walk around Dargavel's Central Park. But today it was way too hot—by the time we arrived at the beach at 4pm, it was already hitting 26°C!

Bracken is a lead-only dog. Unless we're at the enclosed Run Free Fields, I can't let him off—he just won't come back. So today, I used my extra-long extendable lead, long enough that he could still wade in for a paddle and cool down. Luckily the tide was in, so he could have a splash while staying safe on the lead.

It wasn't too busy, but I could spot a few people cooling off in the water and catch the faint smell of a BBQ drifting over. Taking one-handed photos with my phone while holding the lead in the other hand was a bit of a challenge, so the gallery below is the best I could manage on the move!
