Final group walk of the week
My last group walk of the day was nice and quiet with just Hudson, Minnie and my own dog Flo, so for a nice change I thought we'd visit Parklea in Port Glasgow.
I was keeping a good eye on the weather and the radar map as there were a few local showers about, and I wasn't sure if I could bring my camera with me as it is not waterproof at all. The radar showed the rain just passing, so I thought it was reasonably safe to take it with me.
Once at Parklea, the ground was soaking wet. We'd obviously just missed a heavy shower and for the first 10 minutes or so there was some drizzle, enough that I had to cover my camera. After that though, it remained dry and sunny and turned into quite a nice walk. We spent most of the walk on the playing fields, but we also visited the beach briefly and took a detour on the way back so we could walk through the small woodland at Parklea to give the dogs something to explore.
Parklea is a nice change as it's so open and well maintained, so dogs that love to run, like Minnie, can really stretch their legs.
It's a week ago today that Hudson took his first group walk, and today was his fourth walk with Minnie. They have loved each other's company on every walk and today was no different.
