Sunday Stroll with Nala & Marley

Big walk at Knockmountain

A quick comment before my blog post: I've been walking at Knockmountain for years (check out my first post about it here from 2013) and it still amazes me how unused it is. We only met one mountain biker the whole walk on a warm Sunday afternoon! It's always so quiet, yet it's one of the best dog walking spots anywhere nearby. It's just at the back of Langbank, just before Finlaystone Country Estate. Learn more about Knockmountain here

Today's walk was a warm but overcast Sunday—the kind of day where the clouds keep the heat at bay, but you still know summer is here. I'd been given the task of keeping Marley and Nala busy for a couple of hours at their owner's request, so it was the perfect excuse to head to Knockmountain in Langbank—one of those spots that's always quiet, with plenty of space for a long walk and some nice views.

I brought my own three dogs along too, and with my old fashioned camera in hand, we set off. The walk was lovely and peaceful, with some cracking views looking down the River Clyde. Marley and Nala found an almost dried-up pond—the only source of water at Knockmountain—and went straight in, of course. Thankfully, the long grass did a decent job of taking most of the mud off their legs before we got back to the car.

A proper Sunday walk—peaceful, scenic, and just a little bit messy.

Here are some photos from the walk...
